Kingdom of Perran

No New Posts Canals

The canals of Perran are a network of small rivers through out the main streets of the Kingdom which allow for quicker movement throughout the huge settlement. Bridges and pathways make it easy to pass over and beside the water. The canals may look beautiful and peaceful but just turning down the wrong avenue and you can often find yourself getting mugged or in the middle of something else equally terrible.

No New Posts Community Gardens

The Perran Community Garden is a large seasonal garden that is tended to by the inhabitants of the kingdom. It grows vegetables mostly during Spring, Summer, and Fall. The small amount of fruit trees it grows usually bloom year round except late into winter. Flowers and herbs can be found here year round, it just depends on which you are looking for. The gardens smell often of fresh manure and growing things. This entire garden supplies most of the plant-foods for the kingdom of Perran most of the year.

No New Posts Castle Perran

The Emperor lives here. Lording over all the kingdoms as the ruler and enjoying his ability to tax them. The Castle is huge, reaching far into the sky and standing about 40 feet high. It is made from polished white marble bearing the marks of a complex rune running along it's base. This rune allows for the castle to move when a high level rune inscriber activates it.

No New Posts Perran's Mines

Perran is known for being a large source of Perish's mined goods, such as ore of all types, uncut gems, and coal. These mines go deep into Perish's mountain range, deep into it's crust. Perish is a rich planet, full of natural resources, a lot of the mines created have just barely tapped the surface of what it can offer.

No New Posts Housing District

The houses in the housing district come in all shapes and sizes. From elaborate mansions to tiny shacks, they are all well taken care of and often have stark contrast in paint designs. They aren't ever in any specific groups, the tiniest house can be next to a huge house. Often there are small gardens in each home that grow vegetables or at least flowers and herbs.

No New Posts Tantic Alley

The Black Market of Perran, can be found inside Market Street. However the entrance to it is constantly changing locations, so it takes some poking around. It is guarded by two metal golems that activate as soon as the person touches the black door of the entrance. In order to enter the alleyway, you must state your business and the password of that day which often you get from the merchant you are meeting as the password changes everyday. Unlike on Market Street once you enter Tantic Alley, there are no signs above the shops to tell you what lies within, the only sign that is on this hidden street are the tiny signs pointing to the exit along the pathway.

No New Posts Market Street

This is the main street to find all the royal guard "approved" items. The black market is literally a few steps away just down a different alleyway, but is heavily guarded compared to Market Street. Everything is sold on Market St. that the average shopper could want, from weapons to armor, to even fruits and vegetables. You just have to know what shop to look for. All the shops are properly labeled, and it helps tourists, most merchants are helpful and friendly. Though that doesn't mean they won't look for a sucker and price things higher than they are worth when they can.

No New Posts Pub Wicked

This Pub is well-known as a younger crowd's hang out. Serving alcohol 24/7 with live music and raised, wooden dance platform. The dances performed here more elegant than the one's performed on present-day Earth. The most common drink served here is a honeyed mead, and can get you "smashed" within two bottles. Comfortable padded wooden chairs are scattered around the tables and the huge bar seats about 24 stools if they are ever all sitting around it at the same time.

No New Posts The Library of Perish History

This library is the largest one out of all the kingdoms on Perish. It holds mostly scrolls of the history of Perish since history has been recorded. However there are tons of magical scrolls here too, though these are often sectioned off and need special permission from the royal family or royal guard to look at. It is a beautiful place, stacked floor to ceiling with scrolls, there are strong rolling ladders that move according to which direction you tell it to depending on which scroll section you wish to look at. Low level runes are inscribed on the sides of them and in order to tap into them one must have merely had a soul or currently have a soul. The floor is made of polished cherry wood and different kinds of over-stuffed furniture are placed nearby a large fireplace that is always lit during the colder months to make reading more cozy.

No New Posts The Stations

This is where you board the trains/airships that cover all of Perish's lands. They make major stops in all of the Kingdoms and most of the smaller cities/villages outside of the Kingdoms. The trains and airships are all heavily rune based, and though they are all low level runes, the design of the runes is complex and flow into the other so well that only high level engineers know how to make them. However any one with a Soul or the old remnants of Soul magic can make the trains and airships run quite easily. This is the fastest way to travel on Perish.

Kingdom Tentran

No New Posts Housing District

The Housing District of Tentran is spread out. Each house has at least a small plot of land connected to it, most have medium to large plots. The smaller farms usually only farm for themselves and dabble a little in different kinds of agriculture, the larger farms stick to large amount of one type of farming with occasionally having small bits and pieces thrown in, while getting the rest of their food and supplies either by trading their farmed goods or the communal farming properties that can be found through out Tentran. All of the seperate households have to pay a tax of some sort to the Kingdom with either goods or money.

No New Posts Tenneth River

The Tenneth River is huge and full of alluvium, making it's sediment extremely fertile. From the river, the people of the Tentran Kingdom have created irrigation channels, both to stop flooding and to also carry good water to their plants during times of little rain without having to work too hard. These channels are instrumental in Tentran's survival as a farming community, so they are well taken care of and being a person who cleans and creates them is revered in the Kingdom.

No New Posts River Silo

The River Silo keeps all the communal dry goods for the Kingdom of Tentran. This grain storage, and some canned goods storage is mostly for times of hardship (which has been rare the last 30 years), and has been slowly accumulating more food as time has gone by since the war. This food is about 5 percent of the food production of the Kingdom that is taxed every season.

No New Posts Sleeper's Choke Grove

This part of the forest is named for a certain type of creeping vine that is known for curling around unsuspecting people who sleep near it. Unless you know what to look for it looks like a particularly interesting colored piece of ivy. It's not poisonous nor particularly dangerous, but moves rather fast and can cover a foot of ground within 24 hours. It has horrible rumors spread about it choking people at night (when it is most active) however none of this has really happened. This particular vine dies easily if kept in slightly too acidic soil, but in this area of the forest it grow thick and full, and covers at least one part of every tree. This is a well known spot for couple's to hook up and looks deceptively beautiful during the day, however at night it is a dangerous place to rest because the vines will catch your feet easily and things change in a blink of an eye. It's easy to lose yourself.

No New Posts Orchards

The orchards in Tentran are communal and full of all different kinds of fruit bearing trees. The soil is so rich in the orchards it supports many different needs of trees. The trees are sectioned off in different groups; oil producing fruits in one area (such as olives and avocados), citrus fruits in another, pit and soft flesh fruits, then the seeded fruits such as apples and pears. There is also at the far end of the trees a nut bearing group. This is a huge area, made for harvesting for your family and also for the sale of Kingdom trade goods (though the Kingdom only harvests about half of it for trade goods once every two months). It is producing at least three kinds of fruit/nuts year round.

No New Posts Poppy Crater

A huge crater caused by the war and a particularly nasty battle scene between two higher-level Casters, the Dandelion Crater is one of the scars Perish has been left to bear caused by the old war. However the strength of the world knows no bounds, it is already healing, with the help of the people of Tentran of course. Flowers that had been planted in the area have already started to spread, most of them are a version of the poppies found on Earth. The Perish Poppy is known as a healing flower, used for all sorts of healing salves and medications. It is the sign of rebirth on Perish.

No New Posts Old Castle Ruins

These are the ruins of the old Castle of Tentran. Several skeletons of it's towers still stand, showing how much larger the old castle was compared to the new one. None of it's rune is active anymore, and the rest of the castle can only be shown by the sporadic large base stones that are scattered across the ground. Most of the old ruins are covered in plant life.

No New Posts Castle Tentran

Castle Tentran is a smaller castle made of chiseled grey stone. It is a newer castle, that was remade after the large war hit the Kingdom. It looks humble, in it's outward appearance, almost beautiful in it's simplicity, and the rough stone is covered in moss along that has started to creep up the bottom to the top of it's towers in places. The moss makes it hard to discern exactly what it's rune does, to the untrained eye, but it's rune is beautifully intricate that allows the castle to cast a huge shield of raised thorny roots around it.

No New Posts Lake Tenn

This is a very small lake that can be found off in the east side of the Kingdom. It's a serene place, surrounded by a grove of small willow trees. The lake offers a home to the water fowl during Spring, Summer, and Fall; and a rest stop to any traveling animals. It also acts as a get away for anyone who needs to relax and think. It's the perfect place to enjoy the day.

Kingdom Viiten

No New Posts Temple Alley

A small alleyway that has been covered with alters of all sorts of religions from all around Perish. This is place came about on it's own, it originally just started out with one small alter, but as more and more people from all over Perish began to make Viiten their way stop this alley became the epicenter of cultural worship. The Kingdom has let it stay, viewing it as welcoming to their trading partners, and hopefully more likely to make more visitors stop on their travels and spend their money or trade their items. A mixture of strange smells floats from this alley, everything from pig's blood to sickly sweet scents of different incenses.

No New Posts Hoodmans' Square

This is the epicenter of trade and general Kingdom celebration in Viiten. The square holds national holidays, however there is also a darker purpose to it too. In the center of the square, there is a compartment that when activated by an Inscriber will open up to reveal a set of gallows and an executioner's block. This is where people are sent to their death, public executions are often a big celebration in Viiten, though it's often only done of murderer's or someone who has done something truly terrible in the Kingdom's eyes.

No New Posts Iron Cove

A smuggler's cove, not necessarily for them to hide in since they are so well protected in Viiten itself, but more of a place to stash stuff since it's so full of different rock formations and caves. However this is often well guarded by smuggler's and a great place to either get killed or hide a body. Just don't go looking for someone else's treasure because if you are found out, no one is going to help you in the Kingdom.

No New Posts Crimson Forest

The Crimson Forest is named such because of the burns it has suffered in the past and has survived through. This part of the forest is often so soaked with dew or water left over from rainfall or mud-slides that it often survives forest fires far better than other parts of the forest. However parts of the leaves will turn a brown or auburn color when touched with a spark, before the spark dies out from the moisture content, leaving a fall-like atmosphere to the forest's over all look during fire season. Though this part of the forest is well known for having random sparks appear, life still flourishes here from the abundant moisture and year-round food supply. This is the best place to hunt or trap.

No New Posts Housing District

The housing district for Viiten is full of cabins, starting from small and going to large and elaborate. All of them are pretty rustic look however, none have much paint besides sometimes an accent color, though stains are often used. They are all beautiful in their own way, some of the houses even go into the forest that Viiten sits so close to. Very few of these houses have much in the way of a garden, besides maybe something for the occasional seasonal vegetable or herb. Most of what the people of Viiten live off of, they get from trading or from the wild.

No New Posts Pirate Quadrant

The area sectioned off for the pirates and smugglers who seek refuge at Viiten. Not that this isn't used by the people who call Viiten their home on a regular basis, just for those who wander into this area, be aware, it is not for the faint of heart. The likelihood of getting robbed is high, there are practicing brothels, lots of gambling, and a lot of alcohol is usually involved.

No New Posts Grey Docks

This is the docking area for the large amount of fishing and trading vessels for Viiten. Most of this area is taken up by pirate vessels and smugglers who seek refuge at Viiten, which is well known in the underworld of Peschian for being a safe place to hide out after raiding another place. However there is an unspoken rule not to raid Viiten or all safe water-way passage is gone, as the Kingdom's people tend to rule the seas.

No New Posts Castle Viiten

Castle Viiten is made from petrified wood, and though it may look like carved wood, the trunks that make up the towers and over castle itself are just as tough as any stone. Yet, because it is made out of the petrified wood and is solid pieces of it, it just looks like giant harden tree trunks. The run carved into the base allows the castle, when it is activated, to meld into the shadows and basically become invisible if the time of day is right. If any shadow touches the rune lines in anyway the castle will virtually disappear to the naked eye and can only be found by touch.

No New Posts Beastiary

This is home to rare, once wild animals. These animals are now captive and are given the best home possible by Peschian standards, these are captive breeding programs run by wealthy investors, for endangered and special species found on Perish. Though there are very few of these on Perish, there are still some endangered species and most of them call this place home now as the Viiten Kingdom work with them to try and increase the wild populations. It is important work, as they are often apex predators who are important parts of the food chain and studying why they are in trouble in the first place can often stop something worse from happening to more beasts. The beastiary is enclosed in a wrought-iron fence and is heavily guarded as it is one of the pride and joys of Viiten that does not involve gore.

No New Posts Underground Fighting Ring

Wolves are the fighting animals in Peschian, the Viiten Kingdom uses them in underground bouts, raising wolves in captivity and releasing them upon each other in wagered fights. These fighting rings change location with each event so as not to be found by the soldiers of the kingdom, and after each contest the ring is broken down and the place cleaned until it's spotless of blood. These fights are to the death and often can raise a lot of money for those who bet on the winner.

Stationary Rebel Camp

No New Posts Tents

This is technically the housing district for the Rebel Camp. The tents vary in size but are all specially equipped with their own rune to either quickly destroy themselves upon activation or to be easily rolled up to make for a quick get away (with everything inside). Each tent has it's own personality, it could be anything from having a window herb garden, to being garishly colored.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Mess Hall

The mess hall of the Rebel Camp is just an extremely open space with an open tent that serves as the kitchen. The kitchen is always ready to produce food for whoever needs it, and it can be taken to the small sitting areas scattered around the open space that serves as the Rebel's eating space.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Watch Tower

Since the Main Rebel Camp can usually be found deep in the Morass Jungle, the Watch Tower is often made out of a taller tree. The special thing about the Watch Tower is that it has a telescope mounted on it that has a sophisticated rune inscribed into it's glass, when looking through the telescope the person using it can see a Soul's insignia or the remnants of one. Which means they can see approaching Tethereds or Severeds through the trees.

No New Posts Training Grounds

These are the training grounds for battle formations and general skirmishes for the Rebellion. The battle formation area is a large grassy field, while the individual skirmish area are smaller circles with sand inside them. Training weapons of all sorts are offered, however if you use your own weapons, a Caster is there to blunt the edges so you do not seriously injure your fellow Rebel.

No New Posts Rebel "Castle"

This is the Main Rebel Camp's "Castle". It only moves once a year, unlike all the other Rebel Camps which are set up through out the other main Kingdoms which move all the time (usually once a month more often if compromised). This is home to the Empress herself, and the "castle" isn't much of a castle. It's more of a large Victorian-like tent created with the use a special rune. It is the place where all the planning for raids take place. It has been sound proofed by an inscriber.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Other Locations

These are the other locations in the Main Rebel Camp, however please remember, nothing is made to stay in the Rebel camp, it's all made for a quick get away if found. Also, most things are only necessary within the Rebel Camp. They have very few things for fun.

Country Side (Neutral)

No New Posts Starlit Caves

These caves are full of a strange bioluminescent bacteria that has invaded the moss and insects here that makes it seem like it has large cluster of light yellow stars through out the different chambers. The only difference is some of the stars tend to move. If anything is eaten from these caves the bacteria will stay active in your disgestive tract for about eight hours, turning your stomach the same light yellow glow, which can actually be seen (just barely) through the skin.

No New Posts Morass Jungle

This jungle has claimed many lives for those who don't know how to navigate it. It is a bog in many parts along with huge mangrove-like trees growing out of it's stagnant waters, and as you go farther into it, the jungle becomes more land-locked and even more heavily wooded. It's dangerous to lose your direction, because once you lose it the jungle will grab hold and often you are lost and left for dead. The jungle's fog during full moon nights is hallucinogenic and if not blocked by some sort of covering you will fall under the jungle's spell and follow invisible shapes or imaginary creatures. The fog's effects wears off after an hour of being inhaled, but that is definitely long enough for you to be lost to the outside world forever.

No New Posts Moon Glow Fields

The Moon Glow Flower found in these fields is a significant ingredient in strong healing medications. However they must be picked when they are blooming during a full moon, for they bloom with a different pollen during a full moon. Normally they only bloom at night under the moon's glow, and do not bloom on nights without a moon. During the day they close up. During blood moons which come once a year in Perish they bloom with a deadly scent and if you try to enter the field during that time without a mask to filter the scent it will kill you within a few seconds. However when picked under a blood moon, the Moon Glow Flower is an instrumental ingredient in a deadly poison that is undetectable.

No New Posts Perian Mountain Range

The Perian mountain range is home to the tallest mountain on Perish, which is also a dormant volcano, which is how the range gets it's name. Mount Perian is easily twice the size of Mount Everest, and still technically considered able to become active again. However the likelihood of that happening anytime soon is improbable. It is covered with snow all the time, and often the people of Perish travel just to try and climb it. No one has successfully made it to the top and returned, though.

No New Posts Geysers and Sulfuric Pools

The geysers and sulfuric pools are all located near Black Volcano Beach. They too are fed by the dormant volcano known as Mount Perian. The sulfuric pools are breeding grounds for all sorts of colored algae and are often have multiple different colored rings inside them. There is a hot springs farther away from the geysers where the water is a bearable temperature and is actually a healthy level of sulfur.

No New Posts Black Volcano Beach

This beach's sand is black because of the sulfuric deposits left by the near by dormant volcano. The sand glitters unnaturally in the sunlight and when the sun is high in sky during spring and summer, the sand becomes uncomfortably hot to be near and because of the sulfuric deposits the air smells heavily of rotting eggs.
