Notes Muse is soooo good XD Kind of rambly though WORDS 526 TAGS @isra | To push away my fear, To stand where I'm afraid, I am through with this, Cuz I am more than this, My flame is rising higher, I am the fire Dev was just a few miles outside of the Rebel Camp's current position. The Morass Jungle was welcoming in it's usual way, the way that presented her with dangerous predators and wonderful insects that she was positive many had never been seen before. It was often like this, when scouting out in the wilderness surrounding the Rebel Camp, it was never boring and everything new discovered by her eyes was considered a precious gem. Some of the plants she noticed on her walks were never there the next time she went out, the jungle was ever changing, always growing, and Devnet loved it.Rascal shifted beneath her, lowering his crowned head and nibbling a mouthful of greens that he decided looked tasty enough to eat. Dev chuckled and thought, Is it really necessary to eat while we are scouting? Rascal huffed beneath her indignantly and responded with a bleak, You omnivore's never know what it's like for an herbivore. We must eat through out the day in smaller amounts, it is a necessity to eat all day to keep your weight up when you weigh near 2 tons and only eat vegetation. His answer mocked a solemn voice but it was mostly dramatic and made Dev out to be the bad one, as he usually did. She merely smiled and nodded along sagely as if this were the most grievous news she had heard recently. Rascal tossed his head and scent her a glance over his shoulder, Are you making fun of the eating habits of herbivores, the things that cause us such pain? She giggled lightly at his dramatic tone but quickly forced a sober facade before shaking her head firmly. He snorted, as if satisfied with that answer and continued to graze lightly as Dev surveyed the area around his antlers. Dev wore her usual attire today, there was no cover on her face but her cloak's hood was up and her riding boots adorned her feet. Her attire today consisted of a set of black close fitting trousers and a blue dress shirt. Her cloak was black with a blue trim. So she didn't really fit in with the surrounding dark greens and browns of the jungle, but the shadows hid her somewhat. If someone knew what they were looking for in the darkness they'd be able to pick her out. But she wasn't too worried about hiding from anyone here. Out here was almost home turf. She knew this place better than anyone she had ever met, she had personally gone out scouting with her people more times than she could count. Yet the jungle was constantly changing, no one could be more at home here than the animals that were born here and had made this place their home for centuries. The jungle was never the same in her nor Rascal's eyes. Yet it didn't mean she had the same disability of someone who had just stepped into the labyrinth of trees. She knew this place and could trust herself to trust her instincts here, unless of course it was the night of a full moon. Then all bets were lost. |
